Flood Resiliency Workshop May 25

The Smugglers' Notch Area Chamber of Commerce, in conjunction with Lamoille County Planning Commission, presents a FREE Flood Resiliency Workshop at the Cambridge Fire Department in Jeffersonville (please park on the street).

This workshop will review the risks, regulations and insurance requirements for buildings in flood prone areas. Engineering strategies for protecting existing historic structures will be presented as well as several case studies. In addition, take away practical tips for flood proofing your building that won't break the bank.

The Guest Speaker is Robert Stevens - a professional engineer with over 25 years of experience leading teams in a variety of projects and disciplines. He is the founder and president of Stevens & Associates, PC, an Architecture, Landscape Architecture, Civil and Structural engineering firm in Brattleboro Vermont. In addition to the design of projects his experience includes planning, urban design, public bond campaigns and project finance & development.

Who Should Come? Business owners, commercial and residential building owners, building contractors, engineers, and homeowners that are interested in better protecting their buildings from flood hazards.
