Scams, Fraud & Identity Theft program at Pownal Library

The Solomon Wright Public Library will host Amy Schram, Better Business Bureau Sr. Community Outreach specialist serving VT on Wednesday May 18, at 7 pm. Amy will address common and current scams, major “red flags” to be aware of in our daily financial transactions, etc. Precautionary steps that we can take to protect ourselves, our assets and our identity will be presented followed by a question and answer period. As instances of scams and fraud increase it is more important to be an informed and cautious consumer aware of the myriad of ways that one can be a target of thieves.
