The selectboard is considering improvements to Back Street in East Calais to help with safety and maintenance. We are considering extending pavement on each end to help with potholes and also create a safer entrance to Route 14.

We are also considering paving the entire street, since all other roads in the village are paved.

We are holding a public hearing on the issue on May 9th at the East Calais Recreation Center/post office at 5:30PM.
