The 2016 LaunchVT final competition will be on May 5th from 4:00-8:00pm at Main Street Landing in the Film House of the Performing Arts Center. Come hear the seven finalists pitch their businesses in a competition to win cash and prizes! There will be a reception afterwards with food and a cash bar from Have Your Cake Catering.
Andy Peters - Agewize, a social media platform which helps family members and caregivers coordinate the care of their loved one in need. It is easily navigable and allows the person in need to maintain independence.
Greg Kelly and James Mix - Hortlabs, a cloud based technical system for monitoring and managing the growth of any kind of plant in indoor growing environments.
Abbott Stark, Alex Stark, and Mark Rice - Ogee, an organic skincare line which consists of about 10 skin care items. Each item is based on jojoba seed oil, (a product from the Arizona desert) which has a molecular structure similar to that of the human skin.
Chas Smith, Charles Smith, and Nikita Salmon - Sap! Maple Water is a carbonated drink made up of Vermont maple sap with about 40% of its water content boiled away.
Ken Puzey - Solar Water Boiler, is a portable unit which can be propped up and used anywhere to provide clean water. Each boiler can provide drinking water for a family of four.
Julie Lineberger - Wheelpad, a temporary, eco-friendly, handicapped-accessible bedroom and bathroom that can be attached to a home.
Matt Giles and Cullen Jemison - Thermouse (LaunchVT Collegiate Winner), a moldable computer-gaming mouse based on the qualities of thermoplasticity.
The winner will receive $30,000 dollars in cash and $45,000 of in-kind services. The second place winner will receive $15,000 dollars in cash and $25,000 of in-kind services.

Free parking will be available in the lot at the end of Lake Street (near the new skate park). There is also metered parking (until 6pm) along Lake Street and in the public parking lot across from the Performing Arts Center.
