"In the Footsteps of Van Gogh" Free Illustrated Travelogue Talk

Past event
May 22, 2016, 4 to 5:30 PM

At the Equinox Village, author, Van Gogh scholar, and art educator Carol Berry will take us on a journey through the places Vincent Van Gogh lived--from his birth town in The Netherlands to the cities where he studied to be an art dealer, to the Belgian mining district and on to Paris and the South of France. On our way we will meet the folks Vincent painted, and see some of the sites that drew his attention. We will visit the Night Cafe in Arles, the monastery (asylum) in Saint Remy where he painted Starry Night and end our journey in the wheat fields surrounding Auvers-sur-Oise.

The illustrated talk is free and open to the public. It is sponsored by Equinox Village and hosted by Manchester Community Library. Equinox Village is located at 49 Maple St. in Manchester Center.
