SB Energy Prize around the town!
Mark your calendars for the next In-It-To-Win-It Workshop on Monday May 16th 6-7:30pm at the South Burlington Community Library. This month’s topic: LED Lighting: The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly. Join Super Green Solutions of SB and find out all you need to know to make smart, energy efficient lighting decisions for your home! As always ---Free energy gifts for all attendees!

Time to get your Green Up on! Join us Saturday May 7th for the annual Vermont Green Up Day. The SB Energy Prize will be at the City Hall parking lot (trash drop off central) with tons of info on how you can save energy and money this summer. Be sure to stop by when you drop off your trash!

Stop by and say Hi at the Kites in the Park event hosted by the SB Parks and Recreation department. The SB Energy Prize will be tabling there with some fun activities and just maybe some bling for your kites! Friday May 13th from 6-8pm at Veterans Memorial Park.

Another exciting event this month is a very special Book discussion. Join Fred Kosnitsky, Environmental Educator on Thursday May 19th at 7pm at the SB Community Library to discuss: The Sixth Extinction.
The Sixth Extinction, named one of the “10 Best Books of the Year” by The New York Times, examines climate change and the predicted extinction of 20-50% of plant and animal species within this century. The author, Elizabeth Kolbert is a Pulitzer Prize winner and staff writer at The New Yorker.
Several copies will be available for readers to borrow from the Library one month prior to the meeting.
