Private Road Workshop by Friends of the Winooski River

Past event
May 26, 2016, 6:30 to 8:30 PM

Consider all the water bodies you can see from your car as you drive the roads of Vermont-including, perhaps, your own driveway. If the streams, rivers, and lakes are close enough for you to see, that means they are close enough to be significantly impacted by what occurs on the road surface.

On Thursday, May 26th, at 6:30 PM at the Smilie School in Bolton, the Friends of the Winooski River will host a workshop for private road and driveway owners. Participants will learn more about best management practices that can protect water quality and save money. If you are a property owner and believe your road segment or driveway has an impact on a nearby stream, you may be eligible for technical assistance. The event is co-hosted by the Bolton Conservation Commission with funding from the Lake Champlain Basin Program. An RSVP to info@winooskiriver.org is appreciated.
