First Thursday Chester Rotary: Roots on the River

Chester Rotary Club is delighted to announce that Ray Massucco, impresario extraordinaire of the annual Roots on the River Festival, will be the speaker at First Thursday Rotary on Thursday, May 5, 2016 at The Fullerton Inn, On the Green, in Chester, Vermont. We gather at 5 00 pm to enjoy the company of our guests and members, light hors d'oeuvres and a beverage. The program begins at 5 30 PM and ends at 6 30 PM.

Roots on the River Festival, produced by Vermont Festivals LLC of Bellows Falls, Vermont, kicks off the 17th year of this annual event under the tent at the Rodeway Inn in Rockingham, Vermont, on Friday, June 3, 2016. Roots takes place over three days, including an all acoustic concert on Sunday, June 5, 2016m at the historic Rockingham Meeting House that will introduce the all new Full Gospel Hour on Sunday morning.

The Festival lineup includes Dave Alvin headlining the Friday, June 3 show and Steel Wheels headlining the Saturday, June 4 show. At the Rockingham Meeting House on Sunday, June 5, Mary Gauthier returns.
