GREEN UP EVENTS FOR THE MAD RIVER RESOURCE MANAGEMENT ALLIANCE

Here in the towns of the Mad River Resource Management Alliance, Duxbury, Fayston, Moretown, Roxbury, Waitsfield, Warren and Waterbury, there are a series of upcoming and ongoing activities that you can participate in this spring. On Green Up Day, Saturday May 7, 2016 between 8 a.m. and 1 p.m. at the Earthwise Transfer Station in Waitsfield we will accept all car and pickup truck tires with or without rims for $2.50 each and Green Up Tires at no charge. Also, we will take appliances and other metal like dishwashers and washers and dryers at no charge. If you bring a Freon containing item like a refrigerator or freezer there is a processing charge for those units. Soil Saver Compost Bins will be available for sale at $52.00 each at Earthwise on Green Up Day. At Rodney’s Rubbish Removal behind the Crossroads Beverage on North Main Street in Waterbury between 8 a.m. and 12 p.m. you can bring car and pick up truck tires with or without rims for $2.50 each and Green Up Tires and Green Up bags at no charge. Also, they will accept appliances and other metal like dishwashers and washers and dryers at no charge. If you bring a Freon containing item like a refrigerator or freezer there is a processing charge for those units. You can also bring your Green Up bags and scrap metal to the Waterbury Town Garage on Guptil Road between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m.
