2013 Cambridge Civil War Days Oct. 5-6
The Cambridge Historical Society is pleased to host the 2013 Cambridge Civil War Days on October 5th (10 – 5) & 6th (10 – 3:30) in Cambridge Village. The village of Cambridge will step back 150 years and be transformed into a bustling community of Civil War-era activities with both civilian and military reenactors. We have been selected by the Governor’s Sesquicentennial Commission as one of Vermont's top ten Civil War events in 2013. There will be something for everyone, including a wide range of displays from local historical societies, speakers, vendors, period music, in addition to the full encampment with artillery, infantry (Union and Confederate), cavalry, medical and civilian reenactors. There are many new attractions this year including Victorian children's games and activities (10 – 2pm), cavalry demonstrations, a Gatling gun demonstration (Saturday only), period woodworking demonstrations, Mrs. Lincoln, and more!! There will be a variety of vendors and lots of delicious food. Bring your appetites!! For more information please check out our web site for the event's full schedule and for more information on activities, speakers, vendors etc... www.CambridgeHistoricalSociety.org
