The 46th Green Up Vermont in Bristol will take place on Saturday May 7, 2016. Bags and gloves will be available on first-come, first-serve basis at the Town Clerk’s Office (TCO) from Monday May 2nd through Friday May 6th from 8am to 4:30pm. Please sign the notebook at the TCO, include how many bags you need and the location of your Green Up effort. You can also pick up bags from Dave Rosen at the Town Green (street side south of bandstand) from 8am to 2pm on May 7th.
There will be two trucks parked at the Town garage (Pine St.) from 9am-1pm on Saturday, 5/7/16. One truck will take tires, the second truck will take metal. Roadside bags will be collected on 5/9/16.
Melinda Vieux (802-229-4586), President, Green Up Vermont advises that volunteers should NOT be cleaning up discarded needles or suspicious items, such as common household containers (bleach, laundry detergent, etc.) in un-common quantities. Instead, notify the Green Up Coordinator of the location. Do not pick up even a single needle. Trained hazardous waste cleanup personnel will be contacted for removal.
