Exciting Circus Residency Coming to CCS!
If your kids have ever wanted to run away and join the circus, we have good news for you: they don't need to run away! They're joining the circus right here at CCS for the week of May 9-13. Wunderle's Big Top Adventures, featuring Troy Wunderle, artistic director of Circus Smirkus, is teaching a one-week, in-school circus program for grades Pre K– 4.

Students will learn life skills through the circus arts, learning circus stunts and tricks while also learning self-discipline, developing self-confidence, and having a terrific time. On Friday, May 13 at 6pm, Grades K– 4 students will show off their skills in a special performance.

Training equipment can include juggling scarves, balls, rings, clubs, spinning plates, devil sticks, diabolos, feathers, hula hoops, jump ropes, lassos, pogo sticks, unicycles, rolling globes, rola bolas, stilts, rip sticks, moon hoppers and pedalos.

Troy Wunderle is a graduate of the Maryland Institute College of art, and the Ringling Brothers and Barnum & Bailey Clown College. He is a former international performer with the Ringling Brothers and Barnum & Bailey Circus. He has also spent that past six years acting as Director of Clowning for Ringling Brothers and Barnum & Bailey Circus. Troy is a juried artist through the Vermont State Arts Council.
