The Famous Tinmouth Plant Sale is Saturday May 7 from 8 am - 10 am. Previewing starts at 7:30 and coffee and snacks will be sold by the 5/6 class of the Tinmouth School. No sales before 8.
Sales start at 8 and there is a mad dash to get the biggest, the most unique and the nicest plants, but with more than a thousand to choose from, there is always something for everyone. But note, sales end at 10. Don't forget, Mother's Day is the following day.
Tinmouth's loyal gardeners and dedicated volunteers have been working hard for the past week, and will be digging and potting this weekend to be sure that we have our expected excellent selection of Tinmouth grown perennial flowers, shrubs, groundcovers, fruits and veggies. Do you lose a lot of plants that you buy at garden centers? You can be sure if it grows in Tinmouth, it will grow anywhere in Rutland County.
All proceeds benefit the Tinmouth Scholarship Fund, now in its 5th year. We have awarded $17,000 to date and are planning on awarding another $9,500 to our 2016 applicants in June. Help us support Tinmouth scholars.
