It's Montpelier Arbor Day!

Join members and volunteers of the Montpelier Tree Board and the SPS neighborhood as we complete the first phase of the SPS Pilot Tree Project. Learn about neighborhood partners who are creating an edible landscape that provides homes and food for bees, birds, and butterflies. (Alright – squirrels too…)

Friday, May 6, 10 am – 4 pm
Meet on St Paul Street (look for activity)
Schedule of Events:
· 10 – Noon – to plant 8 – 14 trees
· Noon – 1 pm – a tree planting discussion; bring your own lunch

· 1 – 2 pm – Arbor Day Tree Planting Workshop in partnership with the Vermont Arbor Day Conference (**To find sessions, schedule, registration fee & to register, visit: go.uvm.edu/arborday **).

· 2 – 4 pm – finish planting trees and temporary clean-up

Label and bring your own tools, drinking water, and binoculars for some on-the-spot birding. Dress for comfort, getting dirty, and … the weather.
