All canoeists, kayakers, and river enthusiasts are invited to the Lamoille River Paddlers’ Trail Community Social, scheduled for next Wednesday, May 4th! The evening will start with an optional, 2.5 mile group paddle leaving from Sloping Falls at 5:00 pm to the Landmark Tavern in Johnson. At 6:00 pm we will gather at the tavern where there will be free appetizers, a slideshow, presentations, with dinner and drinks available for purchase. Help is also needed to construct a new river access at the tavern during the afternoon (1:30-4:30).
The gathering will be a chance to meet other river enthusiasts, learn about completed projects, and help set priorities for the year ahead. We hope you will join us to show your support for efforts to foster recreational use of the Lamoille River compatible with the valley’s rich ecology and productive working landscape. Space is limited – please RSVP with Noah at noah@vermontriverconservancy.org by Monday, May 2nd. Please let us know what parts of the event you plan to participate in. Hope to see you next week!
