Just a reminder that the Summer Reading Program ends Friday, August 9 at the Ice Cream Social on the Common from 4:30-5:30pm. If you still haven't filled out raffle tickets for the books you read this summer (ages 9 and over), then do it before Friday. The raffle drawing will be held at 5:30pm, you do not need to be present to win. Prizes are: Kids 9-12 - $25 gift certificate to Essex Family Fun Center, pair of movie tickets to Essex Cinemas, Teens 13-18 - $25 gift card to Kohl's at the University Mall, pair of movie tickets to the Essex Cinemas, Adults 19+ - $25 gift card to Sweet Clover Market. Children under 9 have been entered by signing up and coming to various library events. Their prizes include 5 $10 gift cards to Kid's City, pair of movie tickets to Essex Cinemas, and various other prizes.

ALSO - we still have plenty of tickets to give away for the Champlain Valley Fair on Monday, August 26. Kids entering K-8, who have read three books this summer, can sign up for a special ticket that gives them FREE ADMISSION, a FREE RIDE, a FREE ICE CREAM, and a FREE BOOK. This is all part of the Read and Win at the Fair Program.
