Bald Mountain Theater presents
HANSEL AND GRETEL
Touring to 9 towns in Central Vermont April 2016

Based in Rochester, Vermont, Bald Mountain Theater will embark on its first region-wide tour this spring, presenting an original adaptation of the folk classic “Hansel and Gretel.”

This fast, funny, moving, and visually creative production will feature live music, professional actors Ethan Bowen and Sebastian Ryder with newcomers Jillian Sherwin and Donovan Piccicuto.

Hansel and Gretel integrates classic language and vivid imagery to create a performance for both children and parents to relish.

Bald Mountain Theater troupe will perform in nine towns around Vermont on both sides of the Green Mountains, playing in large high school auditoriums, historic opera houses, and small town halls. “Our goal is to bring the touring theater troupe, so common in England and Europe, back to Vermont and New England,” said director and founder Ethan Bowen.
Future tours will include: How to Cook a Camel: Syrian Folklore (Fall '16), Viking Tales (Spring '17), and Jane Eyre (Fall '17).

“We will supplement these larger productions with touring solo performances of the great short stories in the summer and our popular Circus/Theater camp, which returns July 18-22 in Rochester and August 1-5 in Bristol (sponsored by Bristol Rec),” he added. “We aim to bring the magic of live theater to every corner of Vermont and beyond.”
