On Wednesday evening, at the New Haven community Library, we are happy to welcome Charley MacMartin of Queen City Soil and Stone. MacMartin will talk about the art of building beautiful dry stone walls, a method of construction that does not rely on mortar to bind the rocks, but rather uses gravity and fit to create stunning wall that blend perfectly into the Vermont landscape. His work emphasizes the use of local stone, and the preservation of historic walls. MacMartin is a professional member of the Dry Stone Walling Association of Britain. All welcome.
