REMINDER: Central Vermont Food Systems Council, Food Security Event to take place tomorrow at the Montpelier Food Pantry, basement of the Trinity United Methodist Church.

Are you food secure? Are you concerned about food security and food justice in Central Vermont? Come join the conversation on Tuesday, April 26th from 5:00 to 7:15 PM at the Montpelier Food Pantry, which is found in the basement of the Trinity United Methodist Church at 137 Main Street, Montpelier.

The event will start with a taste of the food pantry by New England Culinary Institute students, a discussion of how the food pantry and Just Basics Inc., helps the community and how you can get involved, followed by a permaculture discussion on food growth, food security and just, sustainable community practices. The evening will conclude with our next steps – abundance – and the possibility of building a permaculture demonstration garden in downtown Montpelier.
