Kingdom Mountain Dulcimer club and Catamount Arts is pleased to present Aubrey Atwater and Elwood Donnelly, two of the finest folk singers and performers in the country! Playing an impressive array of instruments they will share their talents on guitar, mountain dulcimer, mandolin, tin whistle, harmonica, banjo, bones ( yes, bones !), spoons and the little dancing puppets known as limberjacks . Their exceptional vocal harmonies add a delightful note (!) to many of the selections they choose to present. Topping it off, Aubrey will give a joyful demonstration of southern mountain clogging! Atwater and Donnelly have traveled across the United States for many years, delighting audiences with their playing of the ever popular Celtic folk music, and including in their programs much of the traditional Kentucky and Southern Mountain music from Jean Ritchie. One of the most popular duos on the traditional music circuit, they have also taken their programs overseas to several countries in Europe. They have recorded twelve albums, with another due to be out soon.
