Hi, everyone.

In March, the voters of Middletown Springs approved ballot item #5 ("Shall the voters of the Town of Middletown Springs be allowed to vote for the Select Board to enact zoning for regulating outdoor storage of junk and junk vehicles?") with a majority of 57% in favor.

The Select Board is holding a special meeting at 6:30 pm on Tuesday May 3rd to ask the community for input on our most appropriate and beneficial next steps. We'll be meeting in the Historical Society dining hall, and hope that you'll come prepared to participate in productive discussion. One document we'll be considering is the model ordinance on junk and junk vehicles written by the legal staff at the Vermont League of Cities and Towns, revised in summer 2015; you can download it at http://www.vlct.org/assets/Resource/Models/VLCT-Model-Junk-Ordinance.docx
