MIX June: Using Inquiry as a Collaborative Approach to Issues, with Maggie Cassidy - Tuesday, June 21st, 12:00-1:30PM
We professionals are programmed – by nature, by training, by experience – to act. We’re used to coming up with choices, making decisions quickly, and moving ahead. But in many work situations there are a few issues that don’t lend themselves to quick action. They’re the gray cloud that follows us home from work: they’re complex and troubling, and often involve other people – colleagues or employees or bosses or customers -- so we put them on the back burner and hope they’ll somehow resolve themselves or just go away. Participants in this workshop will explore how to approach such difficult issues collaboratively.
The workshop offers not “problem-solving” – complex issues can’t be easily solved – but a concrete framework and process that can lead to useful action.
