Hi, Neighbors! I hope you'll come to The Mt. Philo Inn on 4/27 from 6-8 pm. Great to meet other writers and reading enthusiasts for mutual inspiration!

Join your community and members of The Charlotte News for:

The 2nd Annual Charlotte News Writers Workshop
April 27, 6–8 p.m
at the Mt. Philo Inn.

This is a chance to meet with other volunteer writers, talk about the craft of writing, meet TCN staff (not just communicate through email) and reflect on what it means to be part of the Charlotte community.

We'll have informal presentations from the staff, updating you on our latest projects and initiatives. In addition, legendary Free Press journalist Mike Donoghue has agreed to be our keynote speaker.

Here's what you can expect:

6–6:15 p.m. Welcome/Introduction to The Charlotte News
—Alex Bunten, Editor in Chief

6:15–6:25 Reflecting on the Outwater Internship
—Madison Hakey

6:25–7:10 p.m. Writing Workshop (tips and exercises useful for journalism, fiction, nonfiction, and playwriting)
—Geeda Searfoorce

7:10-8 p.m. Importance of Community Newspapers & News Tips
—Mike Donoghue

Please don't hesitate to send this invite to others if you think they would be interested in working with us, hearing about what we do, or just meeting some upstanding community members.

Look forward to seeing you! And spread the invitation! All are welcome.
