The West Rutland Historical Society is sponsoring an evening to honor West Rutland's World War Two veterans on Tuesday - October 8, 2013 at 7:00 PM. The meeting will be held in the W. Rutland Town Hall conference room at 35 Marble Street in town. The event is free and open to the public and all ages. ADA accessible.

The Historical Society recently obtained a photo album/scrapbook from the 1940's with the names and pictures of the men and women from West Rutland who served in World War Two. There will be a presentation of the album to the Historical Society by the Tumielewicz family with a reception to follow. On exhibit will be photos and letters from the War years. We hope to have some of our WWII veterans in attendance to share their stories.
