Join us for a "Big Night Italian Dinner" (and, yes, Rick Winston will be showing that movie classic) on Saturday, May 14, at the Maple Corner Community Center. You know the drill: eight seatings, eight tables, with sign-up at the Maple Corner Store. Times slots: 5, 5:30, 5:30, 6, 6, 6:30, 6:30 and 7. Price: $30 paid at the door, which will cover both dinner and the movie. Guests are invited to make additional donations (tax free) to help feed the community center's operating budget. "Big Night," with its evocative sound track, is a story (fiction) about two Italian brothers and their attempts to open a high-end Italian restaurant. Non-dining viewers are welcome to watch the film for a small donation, an amount of their choice
A PLEA:
Be sure to make reservations as soon as possible to assure a place at the table and to help the chefs and wait staff get a jump on planning. Invite friends to make an evening party out of this. But please remember: By signing up, you are making a commitment to arrive at the door and buy a dinner ticket.

THE MENU (Subject to minor modification):
Antipasti: A traditional array of such eats as cheeses, meats, olives, vegetables served with fresh-baked Italian country-style bread.
Primo: Zuppa di fagioli e bietole (white bean and chard soup). (vegetarian)
Secondo: Pasta with pollo alla cacciatora (hunter's chicken) or homemade marinara (vegetarian).
Contorni: Verdure alla griglia (assorted grilled vegetables), caramelized to perfection, and served al dente with dash of virgin olive oil and sea salt.
Dolce: Amaretti torta (chocolate almond cake).
