EcoExplorations Science Camp!
This is a great summer camp opportunity for kids entering 5th, 6th or 7th grade! Aug 8-12th. Based at Castleton University. August 8-12th from 8:30 am - 4pm. Sign-up has started!
This camp is a partnership between Castleton University and the Town of Castleton Recreation Commission.
Do your kids love spending time outside exploring the natural world?
Are they curious how long crayfish live or ever wondered how birds build a nest?
Do they like getting your hands dirty and turning rocks over in a stream?
If so, this five-day camp is for them! We focus on exploring the local ecology through field, forest, pond and stream. Hone observation skills, learn to identify different plants and animals and discover how they have adapted to survive in their environment. We’ll also have access to college labs for indoor investigations. Every day will include hands-on, outdoor investigations and games that will increase awareness of our local plants and animals. Three afternoons we swim at the CU pool.
Cost: $175.00 for the week.
