Are you food secure? Are you concerned about food security and food justice in Central Vermont? Come join the conversation on food security on Tuesday, April 26th from 5:00 to 7:15 PM at the Montpelier Food Pantry, which is found in the basement of the Trinity United Methodist Church at 137 Main Street, Montpelier.
The event will start with a taste of the food pantry by New England Culinary Institute students, a discussion of how the food pantry and Just Basics Inc., helps the community and how you can get involved, followed by a permaculture discussion on food growth, food security and just, sustainable community practices. The evening will conclude with our next steps – abundance – and the possibility of building a permaculture demonstration garden in downtown Montpelier.
Come join the discussion of food security in the Central Vermont region. We hope you will join us!
