Join Refuge Volunteer Greg Simard to look for the elusive American Woodcock this Friday Night. The woodcock is a small bird of young forest and open areas which has a unique courtship display tha tincorporates an aerial flight along with ground level calling to attract a mate. The display occurs during the spring breeding season near sunset and into the early evening hours. Join Greg for an enjoyable early evening walk to witness this unique spring time activity.
Where: Meet at the Stephen Young Marsh Trail parking area on Tabor road,one mile past (south) of the refuge visitor's center.
