Grow Your Own will host a gathering to finish building compost bins at the community gardens at Atkins Field in Hardwick on May 7 from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. The group will create a management plan for the system. Tom Gilbert of Black Dirt Farm in Stannard will lead the session and answer questions about practical solutions for home composting. There will be a shared meal. Kids are welcome. Gatherings are free and open to the public, but you must reserve a spot by May 4 as space is limited.
