Public Meeting - Missisquoi Basin Plan

Past event
Apr 21, 2016, 6 to 7 PM

This Thursday at 6 pm at the Westfield Community Center, join the Upper Missisquoi and Trout Rivers Wild and Scenic Committee for a public meeting with the Agency of Natural Resources as we discuss updates to the Missisquoi Basin Plan. This is a great opportunity to give input about the future of our waterways - come help protect YOUR favorite spots!
Refreshments will be provided, and the meeting will be followed by the monthly meeting of the Upper Missisquoi and Trout Rivers Wild and Scenic Committee - public is always welcome!

The Missisquoi watershed’s Basin Plan is currently being revised. With the passage of Act 64, the Vermont Clean Water Act, the Agency of Natural Resources is working to effectively direct all available resources towards reducing pollution in rivers, streams, ponds and lakes.
“In this planning process, we are focused both on improvement of water quality and also the health of the aquatic habitat that is vital to our fisheries. We cannot complete this work alone. This plan should reflect the recommendations of local watershed groups, residents, a variety of stakeholders, as well as other State and federal agencies.”
- Karen Bates, Missisquoi Basin Planner
