Please join the Morrisville Co-op this Thursday April 21 from 6:00-7:00 for Community Talks, featuring local Farmers Jim Ryan and Katie Black, who will share images and insight from their recent trip to Cuba. Last November, Jim and Katie joined 300 farmers and sustainable agriculture advocates from around the world to tour Cuban farms across the country and hear international sustainable agriculture and farming experts discuss the principles of agroecology. In their talk, Jim and Katie will discuss how the unique history of Cuba created a system in which Cubans grow a wide variety of their own vegetables on small scale plots organically, and will share stories and pictures from their inspiring visits to Cuban farms.
