This year, the Vermont Urban & Community Forestry Program is hosting a NEW one day conference on Friday, May 6th in honor of Arbor Day and all of the hardworking professionals and stewards that care for our community trees. Beloved storyteller, Willem Lange, will kick off the conference with a series of 'Tree Stories'. The conference will provide an opportunity to enhance technical skills, engage in hot topics, and network with professionals. Workshop offerings including: tree health and risk tree management, tree warden and tree board panels, a tree walk with an arborist, integrating green infrastructure into community planning, challenges and opportunities in town forests, and more.
