Spring Birding Season

Past event
Apr 17, 2016, 6:45 to 9:30 AM

Marking their 15th season, the Stowe Area Birders announce the 2016 calendar of their nine week Spring Sunday Bird Walks starting on Sunday, April 17 through June 12. Meeting time is 6:45 a.m. in front of the Stowe Free Library at the Helen Day Memorial Building and departure for birding destinations is promptly at 7a.m. Car pooling from the library is an option.

The two and a half hour walks will take the group to various natural areas of Stowe and perhaps even a little farther as the season progresses to observe both permanent and summer resident birdlife, always on the lookout for the unusual migrant who might be passing through our town. Stowe offers diverse habitats for birds to enjoy and for birders to explore.

Stowe Area Birders are led by Tom and Charlotte Kastner and Liz Lackey with occasional guest leaders. For further information, please call Tom Kastner at 802-279-1998. For weather-related questions on Sundays, call before 6:30 a.m.
