College Students: Workshop on How to Negotiate Your Salary

Are you a COLLEGE STUDENT or do you know one that would like to hone their salary negotiation skills?

There's a *FREE* salary negotiation workshop for college students on Wed., April 20th from 4-6pm at Norwich University's Kreitzberg Library.

It's open to both female and male students.

- Learn what the wage gap means to you
- Determine what your salary & benefits should be
- Develop a personal budget to determine your minimum acceptable salary
- Practice salary negotiation skill-building exercises

About the workshop: The Vermont Commission on Women has partnered with Norwich University and the American Association of University Women’s (AAUW) to offer this Start Smart salary negotiation workshop, which empowers women with the skills and confidence to successfully negotiate their salary and benefits packages.

About the facilitator: Start Smart presenter Lindsey Lathrop-Ryan is a career coach and workforce development consultant. She’s spent the last decade developing strong relationships with VT employers to provide opportunities for young people to try on careers and connect to professional mentors. Lindsey is also the Community Engagement Advisor for Change The Story VT, an initiative advancing economic well-being of Vermont women, fueled by the VT Women's Fund, the VT Commission on Women, and VT Works for Women.
