Let’s Celebrate:
We warmly congratulate Alicia Kurth as our new permanent .5 FTE Director of Special Services. We are excited by her dynamic energy and commitment to all the students of Charlotte.

We had a fantastic All School Assembly today with author guest, John Powell, who shared a vision for students to get more involved in recycling, reducing and reusing.

We want to announce the inauguration of the CCS Maker Space. This space, located in the CCS Library, will provide students opportunities to design, create and be inspired by each other. Maker Space Open House is Thursday, April 28th at 6:00pm.

HOPES and DREAMS NIGHT
We are at an exciting juncture for CCS. We can see many opportunities ahead of us and feel it is time to rally the support of our community to help us further grow our lovely school to its next level of greatness. We want to begin this journey by inviting families and community members to help us identify a shared vision for CCS. We will begin to do this by hosting a Hopes and Dreams Meeting that will elicit the hopes and dreams you have for your children and the school as a whole. This meeting is being co-sponsored by the PTO and will be held in the library, during the upcoming scheduled PTO meeting, Thursday April 14th at 6 pm. We will provide light refreshments and child care. We hope that you can join us. Should you want to get involved at this ground level, but life’s events prevent you from being able to join us, please simply send us an email with your thoughts and/or stay posted for additional opportunities to share your input. Please encourage your friends and neighbors to get involved and attend. We look forward to seeing you next Thursday, April 14th at 6pm!

IMAGINE AFTER-SCHOOL INFORMATION NIGHT AND MAKER SPACE OPEN HOUSE
As previously communicated, we are excited to announce that after-school programming at CCS next year will be provided by Imagine.  We will be hosting Imagine Director Jeff O’Hara for an Imagine Information Night for families on Thursday, April 28th at 5:30 p.m. in the CCS Library.  This will be followed at 6:00pm by an opportunity to explore our new Maker Space! We hope you will be able to join us.  If you are unable to attend, please call Stephanie Sumner at 425-6662 to arrange a time to ask any questions or contact Naomi Strada to receive enrollment and registration information.
