BENEFIT TENT SALE - 10 A.M. - 3 P.M. SATURDAY - TO SUPPORT COMMUNITY GREENSPACE PROJECT
Are you looking for a door or window for your garage, barn, or shed? How about reclaimed wood flooring and baseboards to finish off a room? A Benefit Tent Sale of building materials salvaged from the house and barn at 321 South Craftsbury Road will be held Saturday, April 16. The sale takes place at the soon to be razed house in Craftsbury Village, diagonally across from Pete's Greens. Building materials will be organized for sale on the front lawn and porch of the house, which will be demolished next week to make way for a new community greenspace.
Materials for sale include doors, windows with casings, wide pine flooring, trim boards, partitions, fixtures, ceiling fans, and several nearly new smoke detectors, Items will be tagged with good prices and sold on a cash and carry basis. Proceeds from the Tent Sale will directly support the community greenspace project. A few more volunteers are needed to help during the afternoon of the sale. BUILDING DEMOLITION - APRIL 18-22
Cody Thompson and Ben Kroeger, both from Craftsbury, will raze the buildings with their excavators starting on Monday morning, April 18. Please use caution, slow down, and anticipate occasional delays on South Craftsbury Road during the demolition. Where possible, drivers are encouraged to use the alternate route of Cemetery and Guy Lott Roads, and Route 14, to reduce traffic on South Craftsbury Road. Trucks from All Metals Recycling will require some space to maneuver on the road when picking up and dropping off containers for the building debris. Construction ahead signs will be placed on South Craftsbury Road to alert drivers. Thanks everyone for your support!
