Lamoille County Players are pleased to announce:
A Faux & Set Decoration Painting Workshop - Hosted by Rick Loya
To be held at the Hyde Park Opera House - April 18, 20 & 22 - 6-9pm
Participate or Observe - No artist skills required - Workshops are FREE to all
Mission/Overview
This workshop is conceived from the combination of techniques I
have come to use in various theatrical productions and commercial
sign projects.
This is a beginner class on how to do painting techniques as faux
wood graining, stone, brick, marbling, stucco, foliage motifs
including dimensional designing. All materials are found at your local
hardware store, paint store, i.e.: sponges, inexpensive bristle
brushes, rags etc. Substrates can be masonite, luan, canvas panels,
treated foam core.
Concept sketches, stage drawings and layouts, to final painting will
be presented. Some drawing skills and color knowledge helpful but
not required. The production process will be reviewed i.e. meeting
with the director, Lighting Tech and Costumer.
