Hello Neighbors,
This weekend, Champlain College’s Office of Undergraduate Admissions is hosting its second Admitted Student Days event. The event begins this Friday evening, April 15, and runs through Saturday, April 16.
We anticipate approximately 650 students and family members on campus this Friday and Saturday. To reduce additional car volume in our neighborhood, event guests will park in our Lakeside Avenue parking area and will board a number of large buses to get to our main campus. These buses are in addition to our regular hourly weekend shuttle service. Buses will come up Main Street, drop students off in front of Perry Hall on South Willard Street and then go back to Lakeside via South Willard Street. We will NOT have any buses on Maple, Summit or South Prospect Streets.
The City will again be issuing “no parking” permits on South Willard Street (from the Maple Street stop sign to the IDX crosswalk) for Friday evening and Saturday so that the buses have a location for pickup/drop off. Signs will be placed on the street Thursday as reminders of the parking restriction and towing will be enforced by the City.
