The Franklin County Guardian ad Litem (GAL) program will host an open house on Wednesday, October 16, 2013 at the Vermont Superior Court, Franklin Unit, Family Division at 36 Lake Street in St. Albans from 11:30 am until 1:30 pm. The event will include a 1/2 hour DVD viewing of the program; presentations from the GAL Volunteer Coordinator and Court Clerk. A light lunch will also be provided.

In brief, a Guardian ad Litem advocates for young people involved in the court system including, but not limited to, abused and neglected children. Guardian ad Litems report that their work is extremely rewarding.
