Underground Railroad -helping slaves to freedom. Founded in early 19th century the Underground Railroad was a network of secret routes and safe houses in United States and Canada. Mostly of African descent, fugatives used these routes in an effort to escape to freedom. Jane Williamson will bring to life the perils of the Underground Railroad. Sunday April 17, at 2PM, at the Broad Brook Grange located at 3940 Guilford Center Road . Admission is free and open to the public and refreshments will be served.
