Public Safety/Law Enforcement Community Education Event - Brookfield

Past event
Apr 16, 2016, 10 AM to 12 PM

Brookfield Residents - Please come and join us next Saturday, the 16th from 10-12 am at the Brookfield Elementary School to learn which law enforcement agencies are responsible for what, who you call for what types of issues, what's going on in our community that you might want to know about and to get your questions answered. For kids age 8 through high school, the Orange County Sheriff's Department will be presenting the DARE (Drug Awareness Resistance Education) Program. The Sheriff's office will also be sharing information on ways to keep your kids safe on the internet. There will be a DRUG DROP OFF for prescription drugs you'd like to safely dispose of and FREE CHILD FINGERPRINTING - all ages and the parents keep the fingerprints - not law enforcement! Joining us will be representatives from the State Police, Sheriff's Dept., and Fire Dept. and our Constable and Game Warden. This event is sponsored by the Brookfield Public Safety Advisory Committee (commissioned by the Select Board) - Stuart Edson, Lew Stowell, Joy Kacik, Kevin Joyal, and Mike Stoddard.
