Public Meeting: Molly’s Falls Pond State Park – April 21, 2016
If you frequent Molly’s Falls Pond or Marshfield Reservoir, you are likely familiar with the recreational uses of the reservoir. The Vermont Department of Forests, Parks & Recreation (FPR) recently acquired the land around the reservoir, which is now Molly’s Falls Pond State Park. The Department is interested in learning from the public on ways to manage the uses to enhance the experience for everyone and to better protect the shoreline resource. The Fish and Wildlife (F&W) Access has been incorporated into the park and you will not notice many changes for the next few years.
A public meeting is scheduled for Thursday, April 21, 2016, 5:30 - 9:00 pm in the Auditorium on the third floor of the Town Offices in Cabot.
The open house portion of the meeting, from 5:30 - 7:00 pm, will be an opportunity to talk with FPR and F&W staff and to provide comment at individual stations. Attendees will also be asked to complete a survey about their use and knowledge of the reservoir. Then, at 7:00 pm there will be a short presentation. Public comment and questions will also be encouraged during this portion of the meeting.
Whether you are a frequent user that fishes, paddles, and/or camps or simply someone who cares about the reservoir, we would like to hear from you.
