VT Academy of Arts & Science - 2016 Intercollegiate Symposium

Past event
Apr 9, 2016, 9 AM to 12:30 PM

That's quite a high falutin title! If you ever wonder what students are studying, here's an opportunity to find out face-to-face. After all the hard work, it would mean a lot to the students to have community folks swing by to see their projects. The event showcases the best of undergraduate student work in all areas -- Humanities, Social, Behavioral and the Natural Sciences as well as the Arts. Besides Castleton University students, students from Green Mountain College, Marlboro College, Middlebury College and Norwich University will be presenting their work. The Welcome takes place at 9:00 in Herrick Auditorium and the presentations will be displayed in Leavenworth Hall. Here are some examples of student presentations:
“Musical Reactions: The effect of music on collegiate athlete reaction times"
“The Making of a Ghost Town: The Erin Brokovich Case 20 Years On”
"The Effects of Social Media on Body Image"
“Detecting Deception Through Nonverbal Communication”
