High Holiday Prayer Workshop

Past event
Aug 21, 2013, 7 PM

Temple Sinai is offering the High Holiday Prayer Workshop to all members of the Jewish community on August 21, 2013 from 7pm to 8:30pm. This newly designed interactive program was specially created for Jews with limited Jewish knowledge or background, to help them gain an appreciation and an understanding of the High Holiday prayers.

Millions of American Jews attend a synagogue service only once a year – during the High Holidays. They may come for different reasons (to connect, familial obligation, or nostalgia), but these “once-a-year” attendees share a common frustration: they don’t understand the service. It is the hope of NJOP feel more prepared for, and thus more comfortable with, their High Holiday experience.

For more information about the High Holiday Prayer Workshop, call Temple Sinai at 802-862-5125, or NJOP at 800-44-TORAH.

NJOP was established in 1987 by Rabbi Ephraim Buchwald, and has become one of the world's largest and most successful Jewish outreach organizations. NJOP offers free programs at 4,821* locations across North America and 40 countries worldwide. Through programs such as SHABBAT ACROSS AMERICA AND CANADA and READ HEBREW AMERICA AND CANADA, NJOP has successfully reached more than 1,415,600 North American Jews, engaging them in Jewish life.
