As part of National Poetry Month, the Varnum Memorial Library in Jeffersonville, Vermont is proud to host an evening concert featuring performing artist and published author Peter Fairbanks Miller aka Professor Fairbanks. This April event combines Miller's newest songs and poetry sung and played on guitar and fiddle. He will add some selections from his recording, "Normally Demented", released in 2000.
Fairbanks Miller is a Cambridge, Vermont based private music instructor of violin/fiddle, guitar, and piano. He has performed in countless Vermont schools, libraries, clubs, ski resorts, inns, restaurants, in concerts, and for numerous couples getting married. Peter performed with the late great guitarist Les Paul in Times Square, NYC. He played with celebrity fiddler Vassar Clements, and entertained for celebrity French Chef Julia Child. Professor Fairbanks has been a featured musician for Sundog Poetry and Cambridge Arts Council events. He is known for his colorful attire and indelible spirit. Performing from Canada to Georgia; Peter continues to compose and write new material.
In April of 2013 Peter gave a well received presentation at the Varnum introducing his book, "Let That Fiddle Sing: poems from a musician's mind". Following the April 9th Concert for the Community event the entertainer will answer any questions and light refreshments will be served. Please join us for this lively presentation.
