Are you fascinated by plants? Like to learn more? Friends of the Hort Farm invite you to "Tales from the Plant Explorer, Why Plant Collecting is as Important as Ever!" Speaker: Michael Dosmann from the Arnold Arboretum, Harvard University will speak on the topic of “plant exploration” and why this conjures up romantic imagery of Victorian botanists, sedan chairs and the introduction of new curiosities to grace our gardens!! While that may indeed depict a bygone era, the need to study plants in the wild and bring them back has never been greater.
