A Great Day of Singing 2016: Celebrating the Choral Arts in VT
Calling all singers - no experience necessary!
Saturday, April 9th, from 9:30am - 3:00pm We hope you'll join us for an exhilarating time, singing great choral music together! This FREE event is open to all singers, conductors, and those who love to listen to voices raised in song.
Location: Grace Congregational Church in Rutland, VT
Featuring: dynamic baritone, conductor, & master teacher, Cailin Marcel Manson
Together, we will gather tips on vocal technique and healthy singing; sing a wonderful array of music sure to inspire, with works by Leonard Bernstein, Ralph Vaughan Williams, Franz Schubert, and Moses Hogan. And, the day will be topped off with performances by area choirs!

9:45am Warm-ups; Tips on Vocal Technique & remaining healthy, vibrant, and growing as choristers
10:15am Singing together & demonstration performance by the Bennington County Choral Society*

*Singing selections from Chichester Psalms by Leonard Bernstein; and Dona Nobis Pacem by Ralph Vaughan Williams; we'll also rehearse a spiritual by Moses Hogan and a classical work by Franz Schubert
**We welcome choirs to offer a selection or two: We'd love to hear some of your music! (This is entirely optional- any of your singers are welcome to attend throughout the day)
