The Rian Fried Center for Sustainable Agriculture & Food Systems at Sterling College is hosting a screening of the documentary film “In Search of Balance.”
The film explores a vision of health, science, and nature that recognizes the importance of the interconnections between humanity, the food we consume, how food is produced, and the natural world at large. In it, physician, author, and self-styled ‘health explorer’ Dr. Daphne Miller guides the viewer through conversations with scientists, doctors, farmers, and personal stories of healing. The film strives to cultivate a deeper understanding of how our health and destiny as a species are inextricably intertwined with that of the natural world.
The film will be presented on Friday, April 8 at 7 p.m. at Sterling College’s Simpson Hall, Classroom 3. There will be a discussion afterwards with faculty and staff of the Rian Fried Center. This event is free and open to the public.
