Rural Vermont and the Vermont Young Farmers Coalition are hosting a Small Farm Action Day at the State House Wednesday, March 30. The main issue is renewal of the sunsetting law permitting on-farm slaughter and sales; water quality regulations affecting farmers are also an issue. We’ll hear from some of the farmers at the State House, about how state regulations affect their ability to continue to be part of the local food system.
