Jess Robinson, Vermont State Archaeologist, will present "Paleoindians and the Inland Sea" at the Martha Canfield Library on Sunday, April 3 at 2:00pm. The Champlain Sea was an inland arm of the Atlantic Ocean that occupied the Champlain Basin at the end of the last ice age. Recent research by Mr. Robinson and colleagues suggests that Paleoindians, the first Native Americans to enter Vermont, were drawn to the area partially because of the resources the Champlain Sea contained. Mr. Robinson will present an interesting look at this early period in Vermont's ancient past. This program is free and open to the public. Please call 802-375-6153 for more information.
